Andre is queen Sophie-Anne's second in command and her vampire "offspring". Sookie considers him very frightening and, at one point, makes an attempt to force her to drink his blood in order to have more control over her as she is his Queen's employee. At this point Eric steps in and Sookie drinks his blood instead. Andre is staked by Quinn in order to free Sookie of his malign control.
