Biography[]

Background[]

In book 5, Dead as a Doornail, he dumps Tara and puts her up as a debt payment to cruel vampire Mickey. Eric's slight smile and raised eyebrow's along with his reply and non-appearance in the series since Dead as a Doornail suggests that Salome killed Franklin for bringing attention to those vampires trying to 'mainstream'.

It is later revealed in After Dead that he was killed by a spurned lover sometime after the series ended. She broke into his daytime hiding place and staked him, and by the time his nestmates rose that evening she had stripped the home of it's valuables.
