Hadley Delahoussaye, also known as Hadley Hale on the HBO original series True Blood, is the daughter of Linda Stackhouse and Carey Delahoussaye. She is the niece of Corbett Stackhouse, granddaughter of Adele Hale Stackhouse and Fintan Brigant and cousin of Sookie Stackhouse and Jason Stackhouse. Hadley was turned a vampire by Sophie-Anne Leclerq, the Vampire Queen of Louisiana.
History[]
In her human years, Hadley was popular in high school, a cheerleader and even Miss Bon Temps. She got involved with drugs and prostitution during her junior year of high school and ran away to New Orleans. Sookie had not seen her since. Hadley was one of the favorites of the queen and was turned into a vampire by her. She was staked by Waldo, another vampire who was jealous of the queen’s fondness to Hadley. In the book series, Hadley is already dead and is only mentioned once or twice throughout the series, but she is first introduced in Charlaine Harris’ short story One Word Answer, which was revealed Hadley left everything she owned to Sookie and not Jason, whom she has disowned. Later in the books in From Dead to Worse, Sookie discovers Hadley's past: she was married to Remy Savoy and gave birth to a son named Hunter Savoy (who looks just like her), who also has mind-reading skills, like Sookie. She is portrayed by Lindsey Haun as Hadley Hale in HBO's television series True Blood.
