Libby Furnan was the wife of Patrick Furnan in "The Southern Vampire Mysteries". First appearing in the series' fifth book, Dead as a Doornail, Libby is a werewolf.

Dead as a Doornail[]
In Dead as a Doornail, Libby fully supports her husband in his bid to become packmaster, even accepting his ceremonial mating with a willing female pack member afer he wins the title, knowing he will return to being a faithful husband after the ritual. When she goes missing, Furnan suspects Alcide Herveaux. It is soon discovered that Priscilla Hebert, widow of the St. Catherine Parish packmaster, has killed Libby, Maria-Star Cooper, and Christine Larrabee in an effort to start a civil war amongst the Long Tooth Pack.
