Rhodes vampire summit was a biennial summit in "The Southern Vampire Mysteries". A summit comprised primarily of Vampire Kings and Queen of Amun Clan members, other states, such as Texas, were also present at the summit.
At the summit there were several trials and vampire politic negotiations as well as distribution of the Vampire Database by Bill Compton and the State of Louisiana, which proved highly valuable. The Fellowship of the Sun had decided that this summit was their best chance to kill many vampires since they'd be grouped together at this event. In the guise of coffins, the Fellowship planted bombs at the hotel which were discovered too late. By that time the bombs were detonated and caused heavy casualties of both humans and vampires.
